I have a setup where
CE1 connected to PE1
CE3 connected to PE3
PE1 and PE3 route reflector clients to RR.
I have set the local preference for all CE1 routes to 200 on PE1.
Later I have set the community for CE1 routes to 65000:101
I can confirm that PE3 recieves the community and LP 200 for CE1 prefixes.
now I tried to change the LP of CE1 routes to 250 on PE3 by creating a community list matching 65000:101, created the route-map, matched the community and set the LP to 250.
Later I applied the route-map under VPNv4 address family to RR1 inbound. But LP does not take effect. It still shows 200.
I am trying to see if I can influnce the LP locally on PE3 although it has received the LP by PE1 through RR.
Also I am thinking that it would be eaiser if I set the community on PE1 and set the LP on RR to 200 for other devices but set it to 250 towards PE3. But is there a way of making a change locally on PE3?
I hope I have made sense.

Hello @zeeshanbasit25789
Yes, you can override the local pref localy on PE3, but apply the route map on the PE3/RR session inbound toward PE3, not inbound on the RR from PE.
RR will simply reflect the original LP unless you change it on the path it advertises to PE3, so PE3 will keep seeing LP 200...

Also, do you have a diagram/topology of all of that ?
Thanks.
