BGP Question

Hi,

I hv few bgp queries..

1. In my scenario I have iBGP running on many router...do I have to worry about disabling synchronization? Everywhere I read about turning off synchronization I get the examples of transit AS's only.

2. External OSPF routes are not automatically redistributed in BGP, does this also happen with external EIGRP routes?

1- It is recommended to disable synchronization in most cases. Synchronization is disabled by default in recent IOS releases. If synchronization is enabled, IOS will required a prefix learnt via iBGP to also be learnt via the IGP before it can advertise it to an eBGP peer.

2- Unlike ospf external routes, eigrp external routes are redistributed in BGP by default.
