Hi ALL,

I am preparing for ccnp routing . i am facing difficulty in understanding bgp-4 . is there any step by step learning document which can be easily understand by lehman

Hi Rajat,

I would recommend the following.

1. Read "Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers v3.2 book". This book is enough to start you off.

2. There are  CBT Nuggets for CCNP Route by Jeremy Cioara which has BGP videos as well. They are pretty good.If you know nothing about BGP then they give you a very good insight.

3. Check forums like Cisco Support Community for BGP specific  Q/A. You get very knowledge on this forum.

4. Practice heaps of labs on Simulation software. GNS3 which is the most popular simulation software which is used even by CCIE's.

Please dont waste your money buying routers etc or lab racks and all. For CCNP Route , GNS3 should be enough.
