Cannot see whole screen when selecting a device

I am using packet tracer for the first time, I have started to build a network and am stuck due to not being able to see full screen display when selecting a device. I am not able to see the top portion with the category options. i did not change any settings yet so do not understand why it seems to be zoomed in instead of a full display screen. please help.
