Cellular MTU size on ISR 1117

Hi, I could see that the SP has a reduced MTU for ISR devices specifically for C1117 and Cisco4351 . Does any one know the reason behind it?

I think in general, these are the values US providers use:

AT&T 1420 bytes
Verizon 1428 bytes
Others 1430 bytes

Not sure why they would do that specifically on these two models...are these routers maintained by you, or by the provider ?
