Cisco 2960 setup no access to internet

Hi

 

I have bought a 2960 switch to work on as I am studying for my CCNA , Im trying to incoperate it into my home network the diagram goes like this

 

BT Router > Netgear switch (unmanaged) > Patch pannel > 2960 switch

 

I have set the default gateway and my pc gets an IP address but no access to the internet, I have also added all ports to VLAN 1

 

Can anyone help please and thanks

Does the PC ping 8.8.8.8 ?

If yes, do you have DNS configon PC's IP configuration ?

Yes I can ping 8.8.8.8 sucsesfully , no DNS configon set to obtain automatically

You need DNS IP config on your PC @jk865

Which equipement give the DHCP configuration ? It is this equipement that send also the option DHCP concerning IP of DNS server. It is the BT Router ?

The BT Router at the moment is the DHCP provider

Still the same with this config

Also, your PC is plug on Fa 0/3?

If yes delete the command line "dhcp ..." under that Fa 0/3, do on your PC an ipconfig /renew and see if you receive the DNS IP with from DHCP provider.

On your screenshot you are not in DHCP mode. Please select "obtain an IP dynamically" and see what the PC receive.

Ive tried both,

I just reset everything to try again but same issue, I think the hub is giving out IPv6 addresses and this could be an issue? Fa01 is hub , Fa02 is PC
