Cisco NCS-57C1-48Q6-SYS7C1 password recovery

I have a Cisco NCS-57C1-48Q6-SYS7C1 that I don't have the password to. I'm using a hp elite book to console into. The laptop has no physical break button so I used the fn+r command but it didn't work. I also used putty break signals with no success to password recover it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Additionally attempting to boot from USB the device did not recognize the USB when breaking the boot process and entering the bios menu

Thank you for the documentation! Unfortunately, we solution won't work, because initially system recovery wasn't configured. I also tried the bootable USB recovery method, but it is not being recognized by the device. When I get to the GRUB screen, the only options available are IOS-XR-latest, IOS-XR-fallback and IOS-XR-recovery. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

hi,

it should be Ctrl+fn+R instead for an HP laptop.

you can also "map" the break sequence in secure crt.

see link below:

Thank you! I was able to the GRUB screen but the USB drive was not recognized. Any suggestions?
