Cisco RPS-2300 info required.

HI,

I've looked at the RPS-2300 documentation and have a couple of questions with regard to its use.

If connected to a router (2851) and the power/PSU fail the RPS-2300 unit will support the router. However when the normal power is replaced the documentation says that the router may reboot - is this the case.......

Also I have a question with management of the device does it have to be connected to a 3750-E/3560-E switch or is it able to have a IP address to connect to.

If anyone has used these in anger and can pass on any more info it would be appreciated.

Hi,

I'm interesting in managing possibilities. I know that we can manage RPS through Cisco CNA, but is it possible to manage RPS through IOS CLI? I found command show rps in Command-Line Reference for 2900XL/3500XL, but unfortunately Cisco Command Lookup Tool doesn't know this command. Any ideas? Thx for help!
