Hi guyzz,
i am having a pppoe connection in modem, a cable is then connected to Cisco rv042.
Internet works fine on direct link of pppoe. DHCP is enabled from modem which provides 192.168.1.0 range IP to router.
I have purchased Static IP for VPN tunnelling.
When configuring static IP in router internet doesn't work.I need to to configure VPN , but just because public doesn't shows up automatically. it doesn't work.
Please help me out with this problem.

Perhaps if we had more detail information we might be better able to identify the problem. For example we assume from your message that you have changed the IP address of the interface. But we have no information about whether you changed the default route on the router. Can you supply more detail about how the router is configured?

Well, talking about the router Cisco RV042 it is set to obtain IP(192.168.1.125) from DHCP .
Modem is providing the IP address in the range of 192.168.1.0.
My requirement is that i want to configure router with static IP connection. But after static IP configuration Internet doesn't works.

If you purchased a static IP and Internet does not work when you use the static IP then perhaps you need to talk with your provider and ask if they need to make changes to support the static IP.
When you configure the static IP if you do show arp what entries do you see?
