Hello All,

I am trying to configure QoS on my Cisco 851w router using the class-map command.

However it won't accept the class-map command.

The router is running cisco IOS version 12.4(15)T10

"C850-advsecurityk9-mz.124-15.T10.bin"

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Gary

Hi,

The 850 series router is the replacement platform for the SOHO 9x routers. It only has very limited QoS feature support, and does not support MQC based qos configurations. For the QoS capability that it does supports, see:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/prod/collateral/routers/ps380/ps6195/product_data_sheet0900aecd8028a9a9.html

In order to get MQC support, you'd need to go up to the 87x series routers with the advipservices feature set.

Thanks,

Wen

Hi Wen,

Thanks for clearing that up.

However the link you posted is inaccessible to me.  Can you check?

Thanks,

Hi,

Can you try this link?

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps380/ps6195/product_data_sheet0900aecd8028a9a9.html

I'm also cutting and pasting the QoS feature supported here:

• Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ)
• Policy-based routing (PBR)
• Per-VC queuing
• Per-VC traffic shaping
Thanks,
Wen
