Hi all,
Any help is much appreciated. Currently I have 2 networks connected through leased line. The two networks are in different location but having the same local subnet. Can I route them both together in the same VLAN to communicate between each other? Main purpose is so that both the networks are linked together.
Network 1:
Router 1: LAN IP: 10.0.0.1/24 WAN IP: 172.24.252.1
PC: 10.0.0.10/24
Device: 10.0.0.11/24
Network 2:
Router 2: LAN IP: 10.0.0.2/24 WAN IP: 172.24.252.2
PC: 10.0.0.51/24
Device: 10.0.0.61/24
Can I route everything from R1 to R2 and R2 to R1 to let PC and devices from Network 1 communicate with Network 2? Or how should I configure the routers to let Network 1 communicate with Network 2?
Thanks in advance!

You would need a L2 tunnel or you might NAT.

Hi Joseph,
Thank you for the reply. Would normal VLAN work? Configuring both into same VLAN.

I.E from Router 1, can I configure ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.0.0.2
Router 2: ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.0.0.1
Would this enable communication between these two networks? Or would there be complications?
