Connecting two Routers back to back

Is it possible to connect 2 Routers Back to back using HSSI using CAB=HSI1 instead of CAB=HNUL. The Interface card on each router is a PA-H. Any body has any ideas ?

Thanks for the link. I have already gone through that. But I need to connect back to back using the HSSI cables and not the NULL modem. Wondering if it is possible.

The only way I can think of is through an adapter. You might try companies such as these

I have heard of people using an adapter so they could connect an older router to newer equipment. What model are the routers?? How will you be using them?

You cannot use that cable since the pin outs are completely different than whats needed to connect two routers directly. A null modem cable is bascially a cross-over cable for hssi, and the hsi1 is basically a straight-through.

The only option I can think of is to use 2 ds3 csu/dsu's and connect them back to back ( make sure to reverse the tx and rx on one ).
