Hello experts,
Currently I must wrote in a document the seconds how long does it take when rapid-stp and hsrp converge. Let's say there is a high delay sensitive conncetion only within a VLAN. The vlan is spanned over 4 nexus 5k which where two n5k connected via vPC.
In this case I need ti change the root from one core switch to another.
So how does this affect the current traffic ? What ablout a topology change? How does this impact the forwarding of traffic?
Regarding HSRP there is also a change (move active router from one to another). What is a possible impact for active traffic ?
Also last but not least I'm currently try to find a document where I can see the times for converge withing a cisco environment
