Hi
I'm a SP using CISCO
I have to run a BGP session with another SP and they support DASAN router
DASAN router serial interface is not supporting PPP encapsulation with our network where cisco supporting that
In tried to have BVI (Cisco IRB) on DASAN but it is not supporting that as well
Can you let me know any other methods to assign IP address on the DASAN router ???

Service providers don't really use serial interconnects anymore, do they?
If both parties are service providers why do you need dynamic IP addressing? Why can't the link be statically configured at both ends?
I find it very hard to believe PPP is not supported. PPP is very mature and has been around for many many decades.
What about the even more old fashioned HDLC, or SLIP? Failing that, frame-relay?

Thanks
Yes we are willing to go away from serial connections
But some of our customers still using serial connections so that we need to provide a solution to these type of issues
We have NGN networks, in that it is supporting cisco routers
However in cisco routers also we cannot configure the IP and we use BVI configuration in the presence of serial interface
For cisco, L2 is up
But for DASAN L2 is not up
That's the issue
Our NTU's supporting only PPP

You should go to your marketing department and get them to put together a promo to migrate the last of the serial customers onto NGN. There comes a point where the cost of supporting really old technologies makes it not worthwhile.
Are these serial connections synchronous? Which model DASAN router is it?
In your first post you said "DASAN router serial interface is not supporting PPP encapsulation" but above you said "Our NTU's supporting only PPP".

Yes that's true
From our NTU we can give a serial or ethernet output
However our NTU is only supporting PPP

So your NTU only supports PPP, and the clients CPE (Dasan) does not support PPP.
That's the end of the technical discussion then. It can never be made to work. There are mutually exclusive requirements.

Perhaps we should ask for some clarification about these DASAN devices. When I search for DASAN I am finding ONT (for fiber to the home) which support PPPOE but not finding regular routers. So what kind of device is this DASAN and what interfaces does it really have?
