i have read some where that if we want to disable routing all we have to put is no ip routing.........i have did that on static routes but when i put the command show ip routes it was shows that routing cache is empty.........and it was not even showing the connected networks........so why is that and what would be the easiest way to remove static route without putting the no an dthe complete route itself........cheers and thanks in advance

Hi,
When you configure 'no ip routing, the router stops acting like an IP router and simply becomes an IP host.
If you wish to remove static routes, you have to enter in the entire config line, prefixed with a 'no'. There are no shortcuts here, I'm afraid.
