All,

Core, access and distribution model network.  Switched to a new ISP and occasional having issues with web page response time.  I think it is upstream on teh provider side as a few people changes their DNS server to Google's at 8.8.8.8 and still had issues.  Are there a few tests on the network side that can be run to show the slwo response time is in fact not on the network.  Just need to prove it to the suits

Thanks,

Hi,

You can use utilities such as "dig" to test the DNS response time for particular urls.

Always, ask your ISP for better DNS servers to use as they may provide their closest DNS servers for better response.

Note: Please rate useful if this helps !!

Cheers,

Vidy
