Does BGP advertise connected routes by default

In my lab BGP does not advertise connected routes unless I add a network statement. Is this the default behavior?

You need to either add it to network statement, or advertise connected.

One thing different about the connected routes is that you don't need to add them to static routes or advertise in IGP to be advertised.

I don't see the advertised connected command available anywhere in my setup. Can you post a sample?
