Hi Everyone,
I am trying to use ECMP and load balance traffic between multiple GRE tunnels on ASR 1001-HX. From what I understand, by default, ECMP uses Per-Flow load balancing and distributes packets across multiple paths based on layer 3 routing information ( Source IP and Destination IP ). I am looking to find some documentation on the following:
1) What is the maximum limit for the number of paths that can be populated in routing/CEF for a single destination? Is there any documentation that confirms how many ECMP paths to a single destination is supported on ASR routers? ( We are using static routes ). We are looking at having 5 to 10 routes to the same destination host across different tunnels, but what would be the maximum we can define in Cisco ASR 1000s ?
Appreciate your help in advance.

I am not sure about the ASR 1000 but for most Cisco routers the default number of routes to a destination is 4 and by using the maximum=paths command it can be increased to 16.
