EIGRP ERROR

HI I HAVE EIGRP IN MY NETWORK AND I AM USING SOLARWIND FOR MONITORING WHERE I GET THE BELOW MASSAG CONTINUOSLY IN LOGS.....ANY HELP

Hello,

the SIA message basically means that an EIGRP router has not received a response to a query from one or more neighbors within the SIA timer (which is 180 seconds, or 3 minutes). There are various reasons for that message to occur, such as PPP dial-in users, flapping interfaces, or otherwise unresponsive routers. Hi Nilesh,

This is the error for the EIGRP SIA(Stuck in Active) routes.This shows that there was a query genrated to 10.250.2.64 by the router 10.155.6.1 and it didnt get the reply from anyone of its neighbor for 180 seconds and will clear the route from the routing table.

SIA can occur due to following reason:

1. Router is to busy to reply the query request due to high CPU utilization.

2. router is unable to allocate the memory to the query process may be due to the less memory issue.

3. Link between the source and destination network is intermittent or fluctuating.

4. No proper connectivity between the routers.

Check all these points and to troubleshoot this issue , please try the options:

1. Use Static routes and route summarization to overcome the problem initially.

2. use command Show Ip eigrp topology active and it will list to router IP from which the reply is pending and that will be denoted by R.
