We have a 2901 Cisco Router that seems to be generating a smell, a like new smell. It has been comming from the router for months. Has any one else had a similar problem or heard of such a thing?

Hello Charles,

Please check the physical conditions of the router and check if it is overheated.

Aside check the output "show env all" and see if the out has any anomalies.

If there is nothing unusual, I think you can safely ignore the smell.... :)
