Why does FR use DLCI numbers as the L2 address instead of mac addresses?
Is FR multicast parent of IP multicast?
Thanks.

Hi Friend,
AFAIK FR is itself a layer 2 protocol and mac addresses are not available on serial interfaces. So If you configure encapsulation as FR it have to use something to recognised its virtual circuits so it uses DLCI.
