Full Duplex and Utilization question

I know what Full Duplex theoretically means, but in real world terms say you have a 10 Mb circuit on a 2811 router, and RX is close to 100% utilization and TX 50%.  If someone accesses a file server behind that router A --> B, would the RX at 100% effect the transmission of data from server to Host B --> A?

It could.  It also depends, in your example, whether you pulling data from server or pushing data to the server.  But, again in your example, even if the data transmission is on the 50% side, most protocols, such as TCP, send some kind of feedback to the sender.  That feedback, although relatively "light" compared to the data being transferred, would have to contend with the 100% utilization.

PS:

In your example, having something as simple as FQ enabled on both routers, can sometimes make a huge difference how your flows behave between the two routers.
