How to configure E1200v2 as a different wifi network using Xfinity Gateway internet connection?

I have an Xfinity Gateway and I want to setup my Cisco Linksys E1200v2 as an additional WiFi network but with a different SSID and is an extension from the Xfinity network without being connected via Ethernet. (Hope that makes sense). Has anyone else done this and can shed some light on how I need to configure the Linksys router to pick up the signal coming out from the Xfinity router and use it to create a new SSID?

what you descrbe sounds like a wireless-repeater function, is that your intention?
