How to configure virtual interface and default gateway on routers?

Task: configure the IP address of the virtual interface - the last address of the device in this network and the address of the main gateway - the first address of the device in this network

For example, consider the router R1. What IP address should be assigned to VLAN1 and is it necessary on the router at all?

The address of the main gateway will be 192.168.223.1 or 192.168.223.2 - the interface of the router R6? For R6, the interface of the router R4, etc.?
