How to run ISDN data and voice calls thru E1 (1 port) Multi-Flex Trunk WAN daughter card ?

Dear All:

i have (E1 (1 port) Multi-Flex Trunk WAN daughter card ) inside my WAN router 3845, and i want to run the voice outgoing calls and the incoming voice calls, basically i could run Data calls on this card , but regarding the voice i did the dial peer and voice port configuration(my isdn number is 21817, five digits) :

when i am doing the voice call from different external telephone line , the debug for (isdn q931, ppp authentication, ppp negotiation) came with this result

change the interface Serial0/1/0:15 as below

basically i need ppp authentication since our remote branches use to connect to this card as backup data path , all remote branches are using Bri isdn with ppp authentication and they are working fine with this card as backup data path...but what's more i want to receive voice calls on this card and forward it to internal telephone extensions (we have cisco unified communication manager 6.1 )

As a Test do the voice calls work if you have it set as I suggested above? I must admit I never got voice and data to work off a single VWIC-MFT-E1 ( we went to ADSL as the backup). I know in the past our service provider would only allow one or the other. that's why I would be interested to know if it worked set for voice only.

does it make any difference if you change "dial-peer search type data voice" to " dial-peer search type voice data"

keep me informed how you go i am interested in this one!

thank you very much , your suggestion is in the place

i did the configuration for voice only and it works successfully

now what is the next step ....

from the CO(exchange) it came one line to the patch panel to the modem then E1 coaxial crossover to the VWIC-MFT-E1 , i have another VWIC-MFT-E1 card but i want to configure same line for data and voice ...

any suggestion regarding this case please?

As I said I never got this working! I have not found any configuration examples either. But you most probably need to try a few of the ISDN commands on the s0/1/0:15 interface

perhaps try "isdn incoming voice voice" to start with
