Impact of QOS Time of day based ACLs

Thinking of placing a time-based ACL on some routers

to change policies by time of day etc.

Has anyone had any experience with how much CPU this would chew-up? Would it be much?...I wouldnt think so..but input policies on wan routers (markings) seem to whack CPU like 5-10% depending on load..just want to know if anyone had any experience with these.

Thanks

Al

Yes, time based ACL's do increase the cpu hog, as it needs to count the time related things. The percentage would depend upon the network, processor and applications being used.
