HI,

Anyone can tell me that what *init* process will do in cisco routers?

Init is a fixed value, that allocates memory when the router is booting and also reserve some memory if necessary for certain configurations/feature, this is a fix value and will not increase over the time . When the IOS boots, the system_init function runs which initializes all of the data structures, devices, configuration, etc . The amount of space taken by INIT depends on the configuration on the router.
