Input Errors and CRC on ASR1002 STM1 Interfaces

Hello,

We are having Input errors and CRC issue with all STM1 interfaces on an ASR1002.  Same router, there are STM4 interfaces too but no errors.

Please help on this.

Following are the outputs are configurations on one interface. There is a mpls tunnel configured on this interface too.

Hello,

definitely check with the ISP, at the very least to make sure they don't see any errors on their side as well.

Hello,

what is connected on the other side of the STM1s ? CRC and input errors typically indicate some sort of physical problem (cabling etc.), or a configuration mismatch on either end.

Hi Georg,

Thank you so much for your reply.

This is a leased STM1. Physically it is connected to another ISP device.

Our other end is connected to ASR 1006 STM1. Below is our other end config. Btw no errors on that side.

interface POS0/3/1

pos report prdi
pos scramble-atm
service-policy output IV-QOS
ip rsvp bandwidth percent 99
end

Hi Georg,

Thank you very much.

We will check with the provider.

Best Regards~~~

Agree with @Georg Pauwen and this is an ISP issue, however, be prepared to go into a "knife fight" because the ISP will adamantly refuse to troubleshoot until you provide them with "hard" evidence (and the output from the "sh interface" is not one of them).

A "layer 1" test with the ISP to test the cable is the only "proof" they will accept.

Dear Leo,

Will do. Thank you for your valuable comment.

Best Regards~~~
