Internet Failover with BGP??

My company has 2 internet links 50Mb into site 1 and 20 mb into the DR site

There are 2 x blocks of address space - block 1 is statically routed from the ISP to site 1 and block 2 is statically routed to DR site.

I need to protect against an internet failover at each site.

One suggestion was to have BGP within the ISP swing our block 1 address space over to the DR site.

I believe this is quite a straight forward process?

The bit I am not to familiar with is what to do with that address space when it does appear over at the DR site?

Or I need to consider any other options to have Internet services which are currently pointing to site 1, then point to DR site?

Thanks

Roger

If you have a backdoor link between you dc and dr you can speak to your ISP to let you advertise dc block through dr

And in the dr advertise the dc block with bgp as path prepending to make the dc preferred path when both are up
