I am testing a CSR1000v on an ESXI host. Ive loaded a new ios image into bootflash, i used the boot system command and reloaded the router. The router comes back in the new ios as expected. However, if i issue a write erase to remove all congif, reload, it loads into the old version of the ios. Ive tried removing the old IOS from flash all together, but it still won't load into the new ios with a blank config. How do I permanently upgrade the IOS on a CSR1000v without the need of the boost system command?
