I have set up a PPPoE ADSL connection on a PIX. I needed user name, password and the IP address teh ISP gave me. The default gateway comes from teh ISP using the PPPOE SETROUTE statement.
How I am putting in a 2811 to replace the PIX. The connection, like before, is using an ethernet port. However, I do not see any commands that get teh default gateway from the ISP during the loggon procedure. How is this configured?
As well, when I configure the outside interface, it does not allow a /32 mask (the PIX does). I seem to be forced to create a subnet where there is none.
I have been using the SDM program to configure it. Suggestions?
