we have connected gig interface ethernet on cisco 2900 series router to mpls link connected to our corporate network ,the issue here is our router interface speed and duplex settings are set to auto negotiation. The interface is negotiating speed and duplex at 10 and half where the provider side interface is hard coded to 100 and full duplex.when we tried to hard code the settings on our router to match the provider the interface never come up.please suggest

Try changing the cable. If they're hard coded at 100/F, you should be hard coded at 100/F. If not, you can see the autonegotiation process end with 100/H. So, if the interface doesn't come up with 100/F hard coded, see if replacing the cable can help.

Hi
Maybe the Provider Set 10/f ;)
Double Check it with them.

Please be advised that the local carrier is hard coded for 100/ full with no auto negotiation. Please confirm your interface settings are set for 100/full as well. We will hold this case pending youre response.
Thanks,
