l2tpv3 Pseudowire QoS and MTU

Hi All,

I'm learning the use of pseudowire l2tpv3 tunnels and have a couple of questions.

I understand there is a 40 byte overhead to to using pseduowires.Do we need to account for this extra overhead on any interfaces?

Within our network we have L3 links that we use to interconnect our regions and we will be setting up a 60mbps pseudowire arcross this for a customer. Our L3 links run standard MTU 1500 and we are not able to update this before the start of service date next week.

Are we going to run into issues here?

As far a guaranteeing the customer a 60mbps pipe, I was going to run up a policer on the interface input at either end, limiting traffic into the pseudowire.I was actually planning on doing this on sub interfaces as we may have many more customers using us a interconnect if the first pilot goes well.

Is this the best approach to limiting the traffic?

Is there a command to try and reestablish a pseduowire tunnel if the tunnel drops and for some reason doesnt start again? Besides the basic show xconnect all command, how else can we troubleshoot pseduowire?

Many thanks to those that can help.
