license required CISCO1941 ASA5510-BUN-K9

Please help to check what kind of license required for the router and firewall below. I am buying a refurbished unit but I don’t know what are the license required.

Hello,

 

the licenses you need depend on the features that you require. The 1941 comes with the default IP Base license, but you can also upgrade to the Security and Application Experience licenses. Check the link below and scroll down to the 'Cisco IOS Software' section

The ASA 5510-BUN-K9 you mention comes with the following:

 

Cisco ASA 5510 Firewall Edition includes 5 Fast Ethernet interfaces, 250 IPsec VPN peers, 2 SSL VPN peers, 3DES/AES license

My Suggestion: Don't buy them. The 1941 is near EOL, the ASA 5510 is EOL and should not be connected to the internet any more. You would put your network at risk with this device. Look for a Firepower 1010 with ASA image which is more powerful, fully supported and quite inexpensive.
