Licenses functioning and features

Hi everybody, 

I have some questions about license issue. I thought only there was only one image to any device, and then you select the correct license depending on what you want to use. Now, I would like to upgrade my IOS, and when I check web I can see bellow image:

I guess base is a standard (IP base) IOS , and Advanced contains Security, UC and Data modules but why exist 2 different images? Also, I trying to know what capacities are included exactly in each license (ssh, pppoe, etc) but I can't find this realse in Cisco (https://cfnng.cisco.com/)

What appliance are you asking? 
If the appliance have gone past end-of-sale date, upgrade Licenses cannot be sold.
