Hi,
I have recently my old router with a new Cisco 2911/K9 router which will be used across 2 ISPs with a dual WAN configuration and thus will need to have load balancing between the 2 connections, in case one connection fails all incoming traffic shall automatically switch to the secondary connection. I need to know whether I need to purchase any particular license for this model to achieve this kind of setup ?
Thanks
Best regards

you need a data license if your going to use ipsla and do tracking with pbr , ipbase supports bgp as below so you could do it that way either if its an option
1 Using just defaults

2 with pbr

Hi if your using very basic cef LB with default routes or statics should work out of the box on standard license , but if your doing LB with BGP and multi-homed ISP setup you may need advanced license for BGP , whats your setup going to be will determine the license requirement really

I will only do basic load balancing between 2 ISPs but the failover on the other connection must be fully automated, no need of BGP or advanced services.
Do I still need any new licenses ?
Thanks
