Hello all,
We are having a peculiar issue over here and it has us at a loss. We currently use Cisco 2811 and 899G routers at most of our facilities, but we have undergone a project to replace these facility routers with Cisco 4321 routers. At the sites we have replaced the routers with 4321s, we are experiencing extremely slow speeds when trying to access the PBX web UI. These slow speeds are causing management headaches because of the volume of phones we use in the Mitel environment, and the volume of changes we make daily. Below you will find some basic notes on our setup between the two devices and how we access the web UI. I have done quite a bit of troubleshooting on this already, I've confirmed the configuration from old router to new router are the same including speed and duplex settings, NIC card firmwares on both router and PBX are up to date, web browsers are at the recommended levels for access to the UI, and I have confirmed a faster experience when switching back to the old 2800 series router. We have very minimal CRC and interface errors on the local switchport housing the PBX and the LAN port on the router. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, let me know what other information you would like, I cannot supply everything but will do my best.

Hello,
it could be something as simple as MTU settings. Somewhere I think I rememeber Mitel not working too well with the default size of 1500, you might want to try 1300.
If you don't know where or how to configure this, post the config of the 4321, and indicate which interface the PBX is connected to.

The PBX is physically connected to a local L3 switch. As far as setting the MTU size down we could do that on the switchport but that would be as far as I could go on that. Wouldn't want to change a whole vlan down to 1300. Thanks

Hello,
MTU size (configured on the layer 3 Vlan interface) would only matter if hosts from another subnet connect to the PBX. That said, can you tell if hosts on the same subnet as the PBX (provided there are hosts on that subnet) experience the same problem ?
