mpls pe and p function one the same device

Hello ,

Is it possible to configure mpls pe and p functions on the same router ? This router will run as p device for some connections and it will run as pe device for another connections. Could you give me information about this situation ? Kind Regards...

Hello Burak,

this is possible.

a device is a P node if it is in the middle of an LSP.

It is a PE node or an edge LSR if it is the interface with outside world (out the MPLS cloud).

to be a PE the node has to take part in MP BGP.
