Multicast routing between two Nexus 7K's

Hello,
I have multicast routing setup between two Nexus 7K's.
These Nexus 7K's act as the distribution layer and they connect to 48 different 4507 access layer switches (VPC) and 3 6509 core layer switches.
The 4507 swiches have two supervisor modules. One acting as active and the other as hot standby. Let's assume that multicast is working on the active module. If I pull out the active module the hot standby takes it's place. This is where multicast stops working on the switch.
How can I get both Nexus 7K's to work with multicast at the same time.
Here is an example of show ip mroute from both Nexus 7K's:
Please note that DR02 has a lot more entries in the routing table. Is this working as designed?

Hi,
From your description, Am I assuming right that you have end receivers connected to 4507 switches whcih are connected to both of the Nexus7K?. Are you using the ports in supervisor to connect to the N7K or any other linecard port?.
Multicast tree will be built based on IGP table. When any PIM router receives IGMP join for (S,G) or (*,G) will perform a lookup in RIB to get the upstream neighbor and send PIM JOIN to the neighbor. In your case, it appears that access layer switch(es) are using DR02 as upstream box to reach RP address. So at any point in time you can receive stream only from one upstream neighbor (except when MoFRR is enabled, which I beleive is not supported in 4507 for now).
If you have the connection between 4507 and Nexus7K via non-supervisor ports and if the active supervisor goes down, it will not impact your CEF table (assuming NSF is enabled) and I beleive will not affect your multicast stream as well.
Please clarify if you are using supervisor ports on 4507 to connect to N7K.
Also please let us know, What is connected to E3/1. You seems to have E3/1 as egress interface to reach RP and also receiving join from this interface.

Thank You for replying.
To answer your questions, the end receivers are connected to the 4507.
The way I have the 4507's connected to the Nexus is via the supervisor ports. So the active module on the 4507 port 3/1 connects to DR01, and the hot standby module on the 4507 port 4/1 connects to DR02.
So the path is as follows
Server --> datacenter 6509 --> Core 6509 --> DR01-C7018 and DR02-C7018 --> access 4507 --> end receiver

Hi,
From your design, per my understanding it is normal to have delay/drop. You have the port on Active supervisor as upstream and when you reset the Supervisor (or pull it) the interface will also go down. It needs time to have the Standby coming up and then go for IGP convergence before sending the PIM join over new upstream interafce.
Do you see a delay or when you have it pulled, the entire stream stops?.
