Dear Support Community,
We are using a 6509, with a SUB7203BXL.
ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(17r)SX6, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
BOOTLDR: s72033_rp Software (s72033_rp-IPSERVICESK9_WAN-M), Version 12.2(18)SXF8, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
EDGE01.PRIVATELAYER.COM uptime is 2 years, 39 weeks, 3 days, 23 hours, 16 minutes
Time since EDGE01.PRIVATELAYER.COM switched to active is 2 years, 39 weeks, 3 days, 23 hours, 32 minutes
We contracted with a service provider to obtain a layer 2 circuit to an internet exchange. Once we got the exchange up, we noticed significant packet loss on the circuit. In order to trouble shoot the circuit, the service provider needs to place a "soft loop" on different parts of the circuit so that we can test to see if those parts are creating the problem. Interface configuration is below:
Building configuration...
Current configuration : 257 bytes
!
interface TenGigabitEthernet9/3
mac-address 0015.c7f5.8934
ip address 80.81.194.9 255.255.252.0
no ip redirects
no ip proxy-arp
ip flow ingress
no keepalive
ipv6 address 2001:7F8::CA8C:0:1/64
no cdp enable
end
I looked at some documentation online, and in most of the documentation there is a command to set the interface to allow for a loopback. However on this interface, the command is not available. Here are the list of commands available on the interface:
