After we configured cable source verify dhcp on our cmts,,, we are not able to assign static ips to cep devices behind pix at offices.. can some help us out with this

Hello Devi,
have the IP addresses assigned by DHCP so that the security check is passed.
On the DHCP server configure it to provide reservations to specific users that you want to have a persistent IP address (tied to the NIC MAC address)
OR
remove the security check command
cable source verify dhcp
that asks to verify source IP addresses against DHCP database (for this reason you cannot assign IP addresses statically to your CPE devices)

Thank you so much for your reply.
We have site to site tunnel for many offices and with sticky IP (from dhcp server) we need to change the IP at the firewall we have to bring the tunnel up and to avoid these issues, we are using static ips but,, they are fine but we started configuring our cmtses with cable source verify dhcp and we are not able to assign static Ips....
