OSM-2OC12-POS-SI(+) card not working

I have a 6506 with an OSM-2OC12-POS-SI(+) card I'm attempting to move an OC12, POS circuit to.

While I'm told the OSM-2OC12-POS-SI(+) is a POS card; however when I do a show interface they are listed as ATM interfaces.  That doesn't bother me, but I can't get the POS circuits to come up.  I've tried three different cards and ensured I have the correct revision of IOS to support the card.

Is there perhaps something I'm missing in the configuration?  I've just been trying to configure them the same as any POS interface (which is nothing more than turning up the interface after adding the IP).

Thanks

Hello Gregory,

It should ATM and POS are different matter

the configuration guide does not talk of dual mode ATM/POS modules so you cannot revert them to POS

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7600/install_config/12.2SX_OSM_config/pos.html#wp1024676

there are OC-12 POS and OC-12 ATM

ATM uses underlying POS but you cannot expect an ATM interface to work connected to a POS port

be also aware that these linecards are in end of life

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps368/prod_end-of-life_notice0900aecd803f00c3.html

if you see two OC-12 ATM ports you have

OSM-2OC12-ATM-MM+, SI+

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7600/install_config/12.2SX_OSM_config/overview.html

Hope to help

Giuseppe
