Hi, im having issues pining between devices, i also cannot figure out how to connect the D1 switch and R1 router. Password for secret is class and normal password is cisco. Would appreciate any help or guidance! thank you !!

Hi @jushb001,

Had a quick look at your lab and there are a couple of things I noticed:

1. R1 interface was admin shut and no IP assigned to it

2. on D1, you assigned an IP to one one the switch interfaces. In order to allow routing between these devices you would need to assign the 10.0.255.x subnet to a vlan (Vlan 1 would do)

3. on D1 I noticed that Vlan 1 was also admin shut, so Vlan routing will not work until you do a no shut.
