point2point wan qos

Hi,

I'm currently deploying a point to point WAN link using ASR routers.

Physical link is 1Gbps but CIR is at 500Mbps, I'm planning to shape at 495Mbps.

Everything is moving very fast on the move so I just need to come up with a very quick QoS to prioritize voice traffic.

This is HQ -- Branch connection so users at the Branch will be registering their phones to CUCM which resides at HQ.

p.s I'll do all other bells and whistles later on but for now I just need them up and running and voice should take priority over other traffic.

Here's a quick diagram, there are more parts included in it like a 4500x and a 6500e but i'm applying QoS on the Router level.

See attached config: will this do for now?

Thanks for your help/suggestions.

You're on the right path, I think.

I would also suggest using FQ within class-default, and setting your shaping value 10 to 15% slower than your CIR bandwidth.

FQ at the PARENT or CHILD level?

Thanks.

I see I can only do FQ at the CHILD level.

Thanks for your help.
