I am now sitting on two verizon models. I had a "V" model and I last ordered a At&t model from a company in MN and they sent me a verizon model accidentially. When I told them they said they would refund me and they do not have a "A" model in stock and it was their error.
Please, I hope I can just get the MC7700 modem and drop that in on one of these??
If that is true, what else is required to convert? is there a any changes otherwise like IOS, firmware, etc?
Otherwise i will have to get good at selling used cisco equipment its starting to pile up!
Thanks,
Tony

Product Overview
The Cisco 819 Integrated Services Routers support the latest Third-Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 8 LTE standards for 4G LTE. They provide persistent, reliable LTE connectivity with fallback and transparent handoff to earlier technologies. The Cisco 819 Routers have the following variants:
● C819HG-4G-V-K9 and C819G-4G-V-K9: Dedicated multimode LTE for Verizon Wireless networks (700MHz band 13); the multimode C819 is backward-compatible with code division multiple access (CDMA) 1x/ EV-DO Rev A: 800 and 1900 MHz
● C819HG-4G-A-K9 and C819G-4G-A-K9: Multimode LTE for AT&T (700MHz band 17); multimode C819 is backward-compatible with Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service (UMTS), high-speed packet access plus (HSPA+): 850, 1900, and 2100 MHz
The main difference is the used 4G frequency, so Yes I think you will be good with replacing the 4G modem.
I do not think the antenna needs to be matched too (universal 4G antenna) , but if problems occur keep this in mind.
firmware of the router and firmware on the modem must match the IOS version but need not be a limitation.
The Cisco IOS Release 15.2(4)M3 or later image also requires a mandatory upgrade to the latest versions of modem firmware. The new modem firmware versions contain significant modem stability enhancements. Cisco IOS Release 15.2(4)M3 or later should not be installed without upgrading the LTE eHWIC modem firmware to the appropriate 3.x release. The following are the new firmware versions supported on the LTE SKUs in Cisco IOS Release 15.2(4)M3 or later:
EHWIC-4G-LTE-V : 3.5.10.6
EHWIC-4G-LTE-A : 3.5.10.2
EHWIC-4G-LTE-G : 3.5.19.4

Thank you for sharing this post.
I have a similar problem.
I'm trying to convert C819G-4G-V-K9 to C819G-4G-G-K9 (global version)
Did you succeed to replace the modem? Did you have to take any other actions? (hardware, firmware)
Your advice is much appreciated.
