PPTP connection not possible

Hi,

an RVS4000 shall establish a pptp VPN connection. The router is connected trough its WAN port to the first router which connects to the internet.

The PPTP VPN connection cannot be established but the pptp server can be pinged from the VPN router. Login data and password is OK. Connection can be established from a win7 computer without any problem.

What's wrong?

Thanks for hints..

Philipp

Check:-

NAT

Securituy ACLs are allowing the protocols and TCP port numbers are being allowed

Routing

NAT - no restriction. Other pptp connection (from w7 client) working well.

Routing?
Router1 Address Intern: 192.168.1.1; DHCP Server; Extern IP & Gateway IP: from provider

VPN R. Address Intern: 192.168.2.1; Extern FIXED to 192.168.1.4; Gateway IP: 192.168.1.1

PPTP connection with correct Login Data; Gateway: from PPTP provider fixed; DNS as per pptp provider.

Anything wrong?

I have meanwhile exchanged the provider's router by another RVS4000 so that two RVS4000 are in a row, the first connecting pppoe to the internet provider and the second meant to connect pptp.

The same problem.

the pptp RVS is configured to be in the pppoe RVS DMZ, PPTP Pass through is enabled, firewall off, any other protection off - no pptp connection possible.

Samel problem with pinging.
