Hey guys, I'm trying to ping PC1 to PC3 but I'm not able to.

I used router rip version 2 command in all three routers, entered all IP addresses including ipv6 and ipv6 unicast-routing command. Here's the .pkt file
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi @etorres ,

You need to use ring for ipv6, rather than ripv2. You also need to enable ipv6 on all the serial interfaces. Here's a few change you need to make.

HQ, Branch1 and Branch2:

gi0/0

ipv6 rip test enable

se0/0/0

ipv6 enable

ipv6 rip test enable

se0/0/1

ipv6 enable

ipv6 rip test enable

You also need to set the ipv6 configuration to automatic or configure the address manually on both PCs. You should then be able to ping from PC1 to PC2 and vice versa.

Hey @Harold Ritter

I tried every command above in all three routers, enabled ipv6 on serial interfaces, set the ipv6 to automatic on both PCs and its still not working. I'm not sure what the "ring" for ipv6 means, that might be part of the problem.

Sorry, I meant ripng, not ring. I will blame the autocorrector.

Turns out I had interface g0/0 IP address set to 192.168.2.126 instead of 192.168.3.126 on BRANCH2.

A single digit was messing with my ping request and gave me a headache.

@Harold Ritter I appreciate your response and your help!

Hi @etorres ,

Great news. If you made the changes I recommended, you should also be able to ping PC1 to PC3 via IPv6.

Hello,

on a side note, your IPv6 config looks incomplete, does that work now end-to-end ?

What are the enable passwords for the routers ?
