I have two networks interconnected by the 4507 and the 3550. Unfortunately I can't make the PC's of both ends see each other (ping, etc.) But If I changed the gateway of the PC in the ABC-Network from 192.168.13.1 to 192.168.13.237 (VLAN1), then the PC's from the XYZ-4507 Network could ping and see the PC's in the ABC- Network. What would you suggest in order for the PC's in bot network see each other with changing the gateway of the PC's in the ABC-network. Please see attached file(Configuration and Network diagram. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
Check the show IP route on your router and see if that has a route back to 172.16.11.x the destination on XYZ network. Its is most probably the issue with that the router 192.168.13.1 doesnot have a route back to the XYZ network.
When you have to reach XYZ network you have to cross 4507 at any ways, so why do you want the gateway to be the router on the segment. let it be 4507 vlan's ip address and let it do the intervlan routing. Why to overburden you router when this thing can be solved at the access/disrtibution layer.

Originally, the ABC-network (192.168.13.0) is getting its internet connection to the Head Office. But they will be changing it,the internet service will be from the 172.18.0.0 network.Using the RIP version 2, All of the routes have been learned. But why is it that PC in the ABC network couldn't reach the PC's in the XYZ network. I ping PC with 172.18.11.254 from the PC-1 (with gateway 192.168.13.1). It always a reply timeout. But changing the PC-1 gateway to 192.168.13.237, I could reach the 172.18.11.254.As much as possible, I don't want to change the gateway of the PC's and servers in the ABC network. The link between the 4507 and the 3550 was just added last week. Thanks for the reply.

It seems the route between 192.168.13.0/24 and 172.18.11.0/24 = OK
Can u provide us with traceroutes with gateway 192.168.13.1 and 192.168.13.237

Can you post the output of 'show ip route 172.18.11.0' from RouterA.

All PCs, servers could ping each other including the Management VLAN 1 for the switches in the ABC-network.

Can you configure 'no ip redirects' under F0 on RouterA. Set the PC's default gateway to 192.168.13.1 and advise whether you are able to get to any of the subnets on the XYZ network.
