hi,
i have some question about qos in layer2.
we have a router on one side which does qos with the dscp value which we are settin in the router based on acl?s.
the router is connected over a ethernet to a switch (no trunk).
how can i achive that the switch does qos based on the dscp values which the router is setting.

Hi Friend,
What you can do is configure the connected interface on switch as trusted interface.

hi, thank you.
just one (two) questions regarding this:
if the router sets the dscp value in the ip header, who sets the 3 bits cos value in layer two even this connection is no 802.1q
connection - its a user port in the switch.
- does the switch automaticly sets cos from the layer3 dscp it receives from the router ?
thanks for answer

Hi Friend,
There is always a mapping available on switches from DSCP to COS which if you want you can manually change it also.
