The role of the instructor is to answer questions from students and guide them to accordingly.

Your mindset is very flawed, this man is trying to ask for help which is good that he is willing to learn, he is probably in some circumstance where his guide isn't helping him much or isn't giving him enough help. Why not be a decent human being and help this man out with the problem? The question does not seem hard at all and will probably take you 2 minutes to provide a solution. As a person with the VIP community badge you should be ashamed. I have met people like you before that never tries to understand why a person is doing what they are doing and jump to conclusions. Very disappointing to see humans acting this way.

Thanks for your comments.
Homework tests a student's understanding of subject they have enrolled in. One of the key role of an instructor is to guide (or steer) the students back to the thinking path once they have strayed.
This is a technical forum. There are things we do in the "wild" that do not necessarily correlate to what the Instructor wants to see in the submission. To put it bluntly, an Instructor can discern if the homework was done by a student or not. A savvy Instructor can, for instance, plant "trick questions" inside homeworks just to gauge the "creativeness" of students.
For example, this thread was created September 2019 and two comments have already appeared in February 2023. Either this is the longest Cisco course or the Instructor has re-used the same pre-September 2019 homework. This is the same homework with a rigged "trick question".
Cisco Learning Network is the ideal place to post homeworks.
"VIP" status or not, I have consistently maintained this stance.

Hello ,
you can have issues with packet tracer that is not able to emulate the LAN switch in this moment.
Verify if you need to start emulation on the switch box.
Hope to help

Hello,
chances are you are either using the wrong cables, or interfaces on the connected PCs are not enabled. Post the Packet Tracer project (.pkt) file. You need to ZIP it first otherwise the system won't let you upload it...

I have a network topology that uses similar ports and encountered the same problem, you can try to save and restart your packet tracer but make sure that the logic for your topology is correct, as long as your topology is correct the problem would most likely be something to do with cisco packet tracer itself and a restart is all you need for it to work! Best of luck and I hope your problem gets fixed. Good Luck and never give up! You can do it.
